BurgerPrints-Cookie-Policy

Cookie Policy

Effective date: June 3, 2026

This page explains what cookies and similar technologies we use on BurgerPrints, what they do, and how you can control them.

For everything else about how we handle your data, please see our Privacy Policy.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit it. Cookies let the site remember things like your login state, the items in your cart, the size you last picked, and your language preference.

We also use similar technologies: web beacons, pixels, local storage, and SDKs in our mobile-friendly experience. For simplicity, we call all of them “cookies” on this page.

2. Categories of cookies we use

Strictly necessary

Required for the site to function. You can’t turn these off.

Cookie What it does
Session cookies Keep you logged in across pages
Cart cookies Remember what you added to cart
CSRF tokens Protect forms from cross-site request forgery
Load balancer cookies Route you to a healthy server

Functional

Make the site work better for you. Off by default in some jurisdictions.

Language & currency Remember your preference

Analytics

Help us understand how the site is used so we can make it better. Anonymous in aggregate.

Provider What it tracks
Google Analytics 4 Page views, session duration, conversion funnel
Hotjar (or similar) Heatmaps and anonymized session recordings — no PII

Marketing

Used to show you relevant ads on other sites and measure campaign effectiveness.

Provider What it does
Meta Pixel (Facebook / Instagram) Track conversions, show retargeting ads
Google Ads Track conversions, optimize bidding
TikTok Pixel Track conversions, show retargeting ads
Pinterest Tag Track conversions, show retargeting ads

Note: The exact providers above will vary based on which marketing tools BurgerPrints actually uses. Your dev/marketing team should update this table to match the live deployment.

3. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by third parties whose services are embedded in our site:

  • Stripe / PayPal — to process payments securely
  • Google Maps / reCAPTCHA — to power location pickers and prevent bot abuse
  • YouTube / Vimeo — if we embed videos on a product page or blog

These third parties have their own privacy and cookie policies — we recommend reviewing them.

4. How to manage cookies

On our site

You’ll see a cookie banner the first time you visit. You can:

  • Accept all to enable everything
  • Reject non-essential to keep only the strictly-necessary cookies
  • Customize to pick category by category

You can change your choice anytime by clicking “Cookie preferences” in the footer of any page.

In your browser

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy & security → Cookies and other site data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break parts of the site (you won’t be able to log in or check out).
